Frequently Asked Questions
What AI tools are allowed?
Any AI coding tool is allowed — Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Codex, or any other. The tool you use is recorded and displayed on your submission.
How does scoring work?
Submissions are scored on four dimensions: functional completeness (how well it meets the PRD), code quality, time efficiency, and prompt efficiency. Each dimension is weighted and combined into a total score.
Are session replays public?
For public battles, yes — all session replays are viewable by anyone, including unauthenticated visitors. Private Enterprise battles are only visible to org members.
Is session recording mandatory?
Yes. Every battle attempt requires a session recording. Submissions without recordings are rejected. This ensures fair competition and enables replay-based learning.
Do I need a GitHub account?
Yes. Prompt Arena uses GitHub OAuth for authentication. You must have a GitHub account to participate in battles.
How does the Enterprise trial work?
Enterprise comes with a 14-day free trial with no credit card required. You get full access to all Enterprise features including private battles, prompt extraction, and team management.
